Comarco's Seven.Five System Selected by GWS for US Nationwide Benchmarking Program

Global Wireless Solutions, Inc. chooses Seven.Five for collection of benchmarking data across major US markets for wireless voice and wireless packet data networks.

Comarco Wireless Test Solutions today announces that Global Wireless Solutions, Inc. ("GWS"), has selected the Seven.Five Multi Test System for its nationwide wireless networks benchmarking test program. Seven.Five is used worldwide to assess the quality of service for cellular carriers and other wireless networks.

"The Seven.Five platform allows GWS a best-in-class solution for testing wireless voice and packet data networks. Seven.Five, which includes an integrated multi-technology, multi-band baseband scanner, excels in its ability to accurately define causes for negative call events (such as calls blocked or dropped) as well as providing us with an extremely versatile and reliable tool for full network engineering analysis," says Dr. Paul Carter, president of GWS.

"We are pleased to partner with GWS, an independent industry force in wireless network benchmarking," notes Greg Maton, senior vice president and GM for Comarco Wireless Test Solutions. "Comarco's Seven.Five is fast becoming the dominant platform for multi-technology network testing."

GWS's fleet of vehicles drive throughout the United States to measure the network quality of the wireless operators on a market-by-market basis. GWS will install the Seven.Five equipment in its test vehicles and drive a comprehensive route throughout the market's typical wireless footprint. Each vehicle then initiates a series of wireless voice and packet-data calls on each operator's network. The ranking for each operator is based on the amount of call setup failures, dropped calls and call voice quality or throughput rates.
