'Always On' a Broadband Wireless Workshop

Delhi WorkshopLearn everything about the fast moving market for broadband wireless in one intensive day complete with interactive sessions that focus on vital topics.

Designed for non-technical professionals or newcomers to the telecommunications industry, this intensive full day workshop provides participants with the key fundamentals that underpin the technology and the markets for broadband wireless services.

The workshop is led by Maurie Dobbin, Managing Director of TeleResources Engineering one of Australia's leading telecommunications consultancies and advisor to broadband wireless operators in Australia and the region. The workshop focuses on both the IEEE 802 standards and high-speed cellular standards such as 1xEV-DO and HSDPA enabling participants to understand how technology can be deployed successfully to serve market needs.

Detailed comparisons are provided for the technologies on offer today and those still in planning. Particular attention is given to the 'Intel Factor' and how this is likely to affect the positioning of WiMAX.

The workshop begins with a detailed case study of how Telstra, a well established full-service carrier is coping with the transition to an all-IP world and concludes with a case study of Unwired one of the world's first next-generation broadband wireless carriers outlining its key strategies and achievements.

Opportunities for discussion and interaction between workshop participants associated with key issues are provided at frequent intervals.

The workshop was presented first at India Telecom 2005 in New Delhi, India (see photo) and is available either on your site or at our company premises by arrangement. The workshop has been extensively updated in 2006 and 2007 with more than half of the material replaced complemented by entirely new material dealing with the fast moving topic of mobile TV standards and applications.

"We had started to look into the wireless application space and luckily found this workshop quite by chance. I am glad I attended since I learnt what I needed to in one day as opposed to weeks and possibly months."
