EB Propsim FE is the newest member of the EB Propsim product family offering cutting edge features to match the testing requirements of the latest wireless standards. Its scalability makes it a perfect single-box solution from applications utilizing low frequencies to testing of 3G and digital broadcasting standards.

Scalable test solution

EB Propsim FE is a cost-effective testing solution for application-specific testing. According to your application requirements, EB Propsim FE can be equipped with 1 to 4 fading channels. EB Propsim FE with 4 fading channels allows users to perform direction of arrival (beamforming), multi-antenna diversity testing or 2x2 MIMO testing. The EB Propsim FE can be utilized for testing wireless applications ranging from cellular applications like 2G to 3G (GSM/GPRS/EDGE, WCDMA, CDMA/CDMA2000) to different digital broadcasting standards (DVB-T/H, DMB-T/S and ISDB-T). With its modular design and wide range of options, the features of EB Propsim FE can be upgraded later on to meet your future testing requirements. Therefore, test equipment investments can be allocated according to product development phases.

Unique single-box solution (ARU)

When using EB Propsim FE equipped with automatic routing unit (ARU), only two cables are required for a full duplex (bidirectional) test setup. The ARU option automatically performs the up- and downlink signal separation and allows separate control of UL and DL signal power levels in a single-box solution. With ARU, these connections are internal and easy to configure using the integrated graphical user interface. Together with the internal interference generator, this means that most layer 1 3GPP conformance standard receiver test cases can be implemented with just the EB Propsim FE single-box solution and a communication tester.
