Hallmark is looking at several options in the mobile realm, said Julie O'Dell, spokeswoman for the greeting card company, which is based in Kansas City.

Hallmark already is offering customers the option to send e-cards and download Hallmark-designed wallpapers -- or colourful backgrounds and animations -- for their cell-phone screens, including the popular Hoops&Yoyo singing duo. Customers who click on Hallmark's web page also can download ring tones and send free text messages to cell phones.

O'Dell said Hallmark is working with Vidiator because the company has the technology to help the greeting card company expand its business to mobile-phone users.
