Nokia takes on iTunes in Australia

In competition with Apple's iTunes service, Nokia has launched a music library in Sydney that subscribers can access and directly download songs or albums to their 3G mobile phones. A cheaper option is also available for them to download to their PC for later loading into a mobile phone fitted with an MP3 player.

Global Vodafone subsidises it roaming subscribers

Vodafone is offering bundled data roaming plans to allow Vodafone's Australia customers to use their laptop datacards or USB modems in 38 countries without paying extra for roaming on non-Vodafone networks.
Conroy receives closure criticism

The decision made by Communications Minister Stephen Conroy to close Telstra's CDMA network has been widely criticised by regional members of Parliament with some reports describing Next G as "a disgrace" over Easter.
