Vodafone Australia completes successful implementation of world leading network planning and optimisation tools

TeleResources, Australias leading independent RF engineering consulting firm has completed a major contract with Vodafone Australia for the provisioning of their Planning and Optimisation Tools. The operator selected Atoll and Radioplan as the corporate-wide platform for designing and optimising both its 2G and 3G networks. The project enables Vodafone to design networks using the latest generation wireless technology providing enhanced services to its customers. Vodafone has joined many other carriers around the globe in using Atoll and Radioplan as its planning and optimisation tool.

TeleResources is the distributor of Atoll and Radioplan in Australia and New Zealand with clients including Telstra, Vodafone New Zealand and Telecom New Zealand.
Atoll is the worlds leading RF planning tool with over 130+ clients in over 65 countries with the software supporting all RF technologies including the fast moving WiMax standard. Using an open platform architecture Atoll allows 3rd Party developers to provide complementary solutions to Atoll. One such solution is the Actix optimisation tool Radioplan.
Vodafones Manager for OSS Strategy and Planning, Michel Azzi commented Atoll provided Vodafone with a seamless planning and optimisation tool across all of our Radio Access networks: 2G, 3G, 3G MORAN with Optus, 900 UMTS and for certain will handle any of our future radio technologies... flexible to integrate to other OSS tools and easy to use.
Within the broad scope of the project TeleResources also provisioned engineering services including the integration of high resolution Geo Data and the migration of existing 2G and 3G RF network planning data into Atoll.
