TruePath Model Tuning
TruePath® supports our professional service offerings and works in conjunction with other solutions to improve path loss modeling accuracy, including measurement integration. TruePath® allows users to easily create models, optimize and plan.
The optimization engine generates the highest accuracy path loss model for network planning optimization by validating input data, allowing for thorough calibration, merging measured and predicted path loss, and verifying network representation. With TruePath® you can filter for distance, path loss, RSSI range, main lobe of transmit antenna pattern and transmitter height, and then analyze a subset of the data to increase your network speed.
TruePath® Dynamic Range Compensation (DRC) is a patented tool that corrects for the systematic impact of measuring signals near and below the receiver sensitivity limit as you move farther away from transmitting sources. Without DRC, calibrated models typically over-propagate causing inaccurate simulations and incorrect decisions during design and optimization.

For example, Root Mean Square neglects locations where the signal was not measurable. Traditional calibration uses CW as a reference so the scanner model over-predicts at cell edge and beyond. TruePath® DRC, in contrast, takes these "unmeasurable" signals into account and generates a high quality model from scanner data without the over-prediction found in traditional calibration methods.
