mBoss SLM - Corporate Customer service level monitoring

SLMmBOSS SLM allows operators to pro-actively improve the quality of service experience by the most important customers (VIPs). VIP customers may either be high ARPU customers or decision makers.

mBOSS SLM is a solution to administrate the database of VIPs, to detect service degradations affecting VIPs, and a solution to visualise and analyse the effects of service degradation on VIPs.

SLM – operator users

There are three main target groups of the CellVision mBOSS SLM solution:

  • Operations – Operations getting alarms and Planning using SLM Manager to follow up on cell faults affecting VIPs
  • VIP sales – Using both SLM Manager and FaultiX to administrate and report the SLAs to the VIPs
  • Customer Care – Using FaultiX to follow up VIPs
SLM components

The mBOSS SLM solution consists of the following components:

  • SLM Server – Correlates received faults/alarms against the pre-calculated list of cells affecting VIP customers and forwards notifications to FaultiX SLM or other fault handling applications. Alarms affecting VIP customers on their VIP cells are treated in a number of ways in the SLM Server, based on priority and/or time based rules etc.
  • FaultiX SLM – Visualising and reporting the affected VIPs and the cells with the largest impact on SLAs.
  • SLM Manager – The administration of VIP customers SLM cells
SLM Manager - Address based

The customer location can be based on a number of addresses (working locations) and mBOSS SLM supports this through:

  • Adding, editing and visualisation of VIP locations
  • Polygon based definition of VIPs cell lists
  • Manually adding/removing cells from the cell list of a VIP
  • Listing and visualisation of footprint cells and coverage area
SLM Manager - Using probes

The mBOSS SLM Manager includes functionality to process complete VIP groups network footprint based on the observed cells used by the VIPs and a configurable rule-set. The measurements of the VIPs most used cells is most conveniently done by using existing A-level network probes.

SLM Manager - VIPs

The management of VIPs includes functionality to:

  • Automatic detection of new VIPs from customer databases or SS7 probe systems
  • Creation of new VIPs manually (if information not collected from customer database)
  • Advanced VIP search, filtering and zoom functionality
  • Management of name and address data
  • Geographical reports of VIP related information functionality
